What is the minimum weight for pallet air freight?

Shipments must weigh 150kg or more to access the pallet air freight option. For shipments under 150kg, standard courier services are available.

What is the maximum pallet height for air freight?

The maximum height is 155 to 160cm. Pallets above this height need to travel on a cargo-only aircraft, which is a different service. Contact us if this applies to your shipment.

Do my wooden pallets need to be treated?

Yes. Wooden pallets used in international air freight must be ISPM-15 compliant, meaning they must be heat-treated and stamped. Non-compliant wooden pallets may be held at customs. Plastic and metal pallets are generally exempt.

Is customs clearance included in the price?

Yes. The door-to-door price includes customs handling. Parcelhero generates the required documentation as part of the booking process, but you will need to provide accurate details about your goods.

Can I ship to and from the US?

Yes. The indicative rate of £1.20 per kg covers both import and export, including US lanes.

How long does pallet air freight take?

Typical transit time is 8 to 10 working days door-to-door. This is a cost-efficient service, not express. Contact us if you need faster options.

Does the price include collection?

Yes. All pallet air freight pricing on Parcelhero is door-to-door, which means collection is included.

Do I need to help load the pallet?

You may need to assist the driver with loading at the point of collection if the pallet is heavy or awkwardly positioned. Please ensure your goods are ready at ground level or in a loading bay before the driver arrives.

Can I track my pallet?

Yes. All pallet air freight shipments include end-to-end tracking from collection to delivery. You will receive automatic email notifications if any issues occur during transit.

What if my pallet is oversized?

If your pallet exceeds 1.2m in length or 1m in width, please contact our customer care team before booking. Oversized pallets may require a bespoke quote.

Is pallet air freight available for domestic UK shipments?

The current pallet air freight service via UPS SCS is for international shipments. For domestic pallet delivery within the UK, please see our pallet delivery page.

Will sea freight and road freight be available?

Land and sea pallet freight options are planned for later in 2026. Air freight is the first release. Watch this space.

Can I get a custom rate if I ship regularly?

Yes. If your monthly spend is £1,000 or more, you may be eligible for custom negotiated rates. Contact our customer care team or speak to your account manager.

What industries is pallet air freight suited to?

Pallet air freight is particularly well suited to businesses in apparel and fashion, beauty and personal care, electronics, toys and games, health and nutrition, and home and garden, where regular high-weight international shipments are common.
